Rebels begin with Annual Inter-Squad Game
Monday, March 21, 2011
SIX NATIONS - Six Nations Jr B Rebels held their annual Inter-Squad game Sunday night at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena before more than 350 lacrosse fans. The Rebels donated the gate and 50/50 plus all non-perishable food items to the Six Nations Food Bank. This year the Food Bank received $ 565.50 plus 80 lbs. of non-perishable food.
The game was a chance for all the players who were looking to crack the 2011 Rebels lineup while also an opportunity for the Rebels coaching staff to make evaluation of players under game situations.
The 2011 Rebels tryoutee’s were split into Team Black and Team Orange.
Team Black jumped out to an 8-3 lead midway through the second period to win the contest 12-8. Don Alton started in goal for Team Black while Warren Hill started in goal for Team Orange.

However, Team Black would regain the lead as Randy Martin beat Midget goalie tryout, Doug Jamieson just 38 seconds later. Team Black would add five more goals to take a commanding 9-3 lead by the 5:56 mark of the period. Team Orange would mount a little comeback but trailed 9-6 after two periods of play. Team Black outshot Team Orange 14-11 in the middle stanza.
Team Orange would cut the lead to 9-7 as Brandon Jacobs added a shorthanded marker. That would be as close as Team Orange would get as Team Black would outscore them 3-1 the remainder of the contest.
