3rd Annual Jr B Spring Showcase
The Six Nations Jr B Rebels (3-time Founders Cup champion) held their 3rd Annual Pre-season tournament at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena all day this past Saturday before more than 850 lacrosse fans. The tournament will be known from this year forward as the Jr B Spring Showcase. The Showcase allows all the teams (Hamilton Bengals, Halton Hills Bulldogs, Kahnawake Hunters, Oakville Buzz, Sarnia Pacers, Toronto Beaches, Wallaceburg Red Devils and Six Nations Rebels) a chance to view players attempting to crack the regular season lineups under game conditions. Thus giving management and coaches an opportunity to evaluation of players under those game situations.
From the management, coaching and bench staff to the players and parents, the Rebels organization would like to thank everyone for participating and making this another successful kick-off to another exciting year of lacrosse. The Rebels would also like to thank the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena staff for doing a fantastic job in ensuring all the needs of the fans were met.
The Rebels will continue to prepare for their home opener against Hamilton Bengals on Sunday, April 18th at the Gaylord Powless Arena.
The Rebels are not quite done with the Pre-season tournament against Far East Division teams as they travel to Akwesasne for another Pre-season tournament on Saturday, April 10th. The Rebels will play the Gloucester Griffins, Kahnawake Hunters and host Akwesasne Jr B Indians.
