2nd Annual Rebels Jr B Pre-Season Tournament
3-Time (1997, 2007, 2008) Founders Cup Champions, Six Nations Jr B Rebels hosted their 2nd Annual Jr B Pre-Season Tournament on Saturday, March 28th at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena. More than 850 spectators took in the action which saw 8 teams participate in the event. Six teams from the 2008 OLA Jr B league joined the Rebels on the carpeted floor which were the Cornwall Celtics, Halton Hills Bulldogs, Hamilton Bengals, Oakville Buzz, Sarnia Pacers and Welland Warlords. Also joining the festive Saturday event was the newcomers to the OLA Jr B scene were the Kahnawake Hunters.
The event gives coaches, general managers and Jr B Lacrosse fans a chance to see the all the players under intense game conditions. With all teams playing three games each, the 12-game day was broadcasted by Lacrosse Inside The Game (LITG) founder, Gary Mark. Of the 12 games played, 9 of them were broadcasted by LITG and was viewed by a minimum of 40 viewers for each broadcasts. Since it was a pre-season affair, the game were played under certain conditions. Three 15-minute periods of running time. Therefore, minor penalties were 3-minutes and major penalties were 7-minutes in length with no timeouts allowed. There were 3-minute intermission breaks and a 5-minute warmup for each team. The clock was only stopped at the end of the 1st and 2nd intermission. However if the score was 2-goals or less in the final two-minutes this would be the only other condition for the game clock to stop on a whistle.

This was the 2nd Annual Six Nations Jr B Rebels Pre-Season Lacrosse Tournament. The Rebels organization would like to thank all the lacrosse fans who attended. The organization would also like to thank the Rebels players, coaches, trainers and all the volunteers that gave of the time and effort to help make this years tournament successful.
