AKWESASNE- The 4-time Founders Cup champions, 2012 Founders Cup hosts’, Six Nations Rebels over came an emotion filled week in which they lost the heart and soul of the 2012 squad Monday afternoon, when Carney Elijah Johnson passed away to claim their 5th 2012 OLA Jr B Championship Friday night in Akwesasne. The Rebels honoured his memory in their came-from-behind in the final 72 seconds to edge Eastern Conference Champions’ Akwesasne Indians 11-10 in front of a frenzied crowd of 800 plus to win 3-0 in the Best-of-Five Ontario Jr B Finals at the A’nowara’ko:wa Arena.

Akwesasne Tyler Barnhart (17:14) scored for a 10-9 lead with 2:46 remaining.
